Doomed melons - stems rotting
Although these melons look ok they are doomed. The vine stem leading to them is rotten. The wilting leaves are a give-away.
Must not crowd the plants next year - allow for more air circulation. Rotting may also have been due to damage caused be ties. Will allow vines to use their tendrils next year and not tie string around the stems.
