The fine LCWO has a TX training facility that, in addition to allowing keying with the spacebar, also accepts input from the left mouse button. A straight key can be connected across the mouse button contacts.
I tried plugging my straight key into vband USB interface (4.99 GBP from China) and it works a treat.
